Upon arrival to our office in Marsh Harbour (by Taxi or otherwise) we will ask you to review & sigh our rental contract, pay the balance of the rental fee (if reserved ahead of time), we will also ask for you to sign a blank credit card slip as ‘security’ until the boat is returned. We will show you on the chart where to go (lots of places) & not to go (only a few shallow spots) as well as offering any local knowledge required by you. We will show you your boat & equipment & make sure you are comfortable with how to start & run the motor. Then you are off on your adventure!
If you are checking in at Hope Town we have usually picked you up from your dock. The boat ride back the office is a great time to ask questions about the area. Upon arrival at our dock we will show you the boat & equipment, how to start & run the engine, then on to the office to review & sign the contract, pay for the rental then go thru the chart briefing. Try to allow about 20 minutes for this process at either location. A lot of our guests have just arrived in Abaco & are stressed from travel. You have to just take a deep breath & try to relax. You have arrived & you are on Island Time now, mon. No hurry. Oftentimes we are called upon to take care of an issue that was covered during check in but was not absorbed by the Captain due to stress & /or other distractions.
